CLAUSURA DEL FESTIVAL DE ÓRGANO DE LA CATEDRAL DE MORELIA / FINAL CONCERT OF THE MORELIA'S CATHEDRAL ORGAN FESTIVAL

El próximo día 22 de Julio a las 21 hrs. se llevará a cabo el Concierto de Clausura del Festival de Órgano de la Catedral de Morelia. El concierto final estará a cargo de la organista Laura Carrasco, profesora de la cátedra de órgano de la Universidad Michoacana y del Instituto Superior de Música Sacra de Morelia.

El programa está conformado con obras de Max Reger, Domingo Lobato, J. S. Bach, y Josef Gabriel Rheinberger y contará también con la participación del barítono Ricardo Santín, el violinista Ludwig Carrasco, y la cellista Irene Carrasco.

Coming up on July 22nd at 9 PM is the final concert of the Morelia's Cathedral Organ Festival. This closing event will be performed by the organist Laura Carrasco, professor of organ at the Michoacan University and at the Sacred Music Institute of Morelia.

The program includes works by Max Reger, Domingo Lobato, J. S. Bach, and Josef Gabriel Rheinberger, and will also feature the participation of the baritone Ricardo Santín, the violinist Ludwig Carrasco, and the cellist Irene Carrasco.

PARTICIPACIÓN DE LA ARTISTA NATALIA CURÍNTZITA EN MUESTRA NACIONAL / PARTICIPATION OF THE ARTIST NATALIA CURÍNTZITA IN NATIONAL EXHIBIT

Del 25 al 29 de Junio se llevó a cabo la Muestra del Premio Nacional de Cerámica en el Centro Cultural “El Refugio” de la ciudad de Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, México. En esta muestra participó la artista Natalia Curíntzita presentando tres esculturas en mediano formato de su serie “Variaciones sobre un mismo tema”.

From June 25th to the 29th took place the exhibit of the Ceramic National Prize at the Refugio Cultural Center in the city of Tlaquepaque (Jalisco, Mexico). In this exhibit the artist Natalia Curíntzita participated with three sculptures from her series entitled “Variations over a theme”.

CONCIERTOS DEL TRÍO MORELIA EN EUROPA Y MÉXICO / THE TRÍO MORELIA PERFORMS CONCERTS IN EUROPE AND MEXICO

Al inicio del mes de Junio el Trío Morelia realizó una exitosa gira de conciertos por Europa. Esta gira incluyó un concierto en Viena, Austria el día 3 de Junio en donde se presentaron bajo los auspicios de la Embajada de México en Austria y el Instituto Cervantes en Viena; allí ofrecieron un programa de música española y mexicana con obras de Enrique Fernández Arbós, Francisco Martín Quintero, Simón Tapia Colman, José Pablo Moncayo, Mario Lavista, y Juventino Rosas.

Tras ello, el día 5 de Junio, el Trío Morelia se presentó en Praga, República Checa, dentro del ciclo Ambassadors Concert Series bajo los auspicios de la Embajada de México en la República Checa; en esta ocasión ofrecieron un programa dedicado a la música mexicana con obras de los autores Armando Lavalle, Mario Lavista, Jose Pablo Moncayo, Simón Tapia Colman, José Encarnación Lopéz, y Miguel Bernal Jiménez.

Una vez concluida su gira europea el Trío Morelia se presentó el día 15 de Junio en el Museo Nacional de Arte (MUNAL) en la ciudad de México dentro del Ciclo de Música de Cámara organizado por el Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes (INBA). Su programa incluyó obras de Dmitri Shostakovich, Jean Sibelius, Armando Lavalle, y Frank Martin.

At the beginning of June the Trío Morelia toured Europe with great success. This tour included a performance in Vienna, Austria on June 3rd where they performed in a concert presented by the Mexican Embassy in Austria and the Cervantes Institute in Vienna; the program was devoted to Spanish and Mexican music with works by Enrique Fernández Arbós, Francisco Martín Quintero, Simón Tapia Colman, José Pablo Moncayo, Mario Lavista, and Juventino Rosas.

After this, on June 5th, the Trío Morelia performed a concert in Prague, Czech Republic, at the Ambassadors Concert Series presented in this occasion by the Mexican Embassy in the Czech Republic. With a complete program of Mexican music they included works by Armando Lavalle, Mario Lavista, Jose Pablo Moncayo, Simón Tapia Colman, José Encarnación Lopéz, and Miguel Bernal Jiménez.

Once they concluded their European tour the Trío Morelia performed back in Mexico City on June 15th at the National Museum of Art (MUNAL) as part of the Chamber Music Series organized by the National Institute of Fine Arts of Mexico (INBA). This concert included piano trios by Dmitri Shostakovich, Jean Sibelius, Armando Lavalle, and Frank Martin.
